When added to the soil our engineered polymers will increase the load-bearing strength of the soil by creating a polymerized connection of the soil particles, increasing and keeping compaction of the soils, and mitigating the swell potential of the soil/ treated area. The interconnection of the polymer treated area will distribute weight more effectively over the surface, reducing the stress on the stabilized area, and present itself as a better subgrade or even the wear course itself. The stabilized base will withstand rain and cyclic freezing. It will prevent wash boarding, rutting, and reduce deflection. Our polymer treated bases have been shown to have higher Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) numbers than that of cement-treated base and gravel and are considerably lower in cost. Most in-situ or native soil can be used, eliminating the cost of bringing in base materials. If you have any questions about Road Stabilization please feel free to contact one of our experts.

Environment Friendly

Our road stabilization polymers are manufactured under strict environmental guidelines. They are safe too humans, wildlife, and aquatic life. When cured the polymers will not leach. Also using our road stabilization polymers to stabilize roads greatly reduces water consumption and aggregate..

Maintenance

Roads stabilized with our soil stabilization polymers will have to be maintained less frequently than roads using other stabilization methods such as chlorides, gravel, and cement. This will free up road maintenance crews. The stabilized roads will also present less stress on vehicles, maintaining performance and saving on costly repairs.

Money

Our road stabilization polymer treated roads are less expensive than gravel, bitumen, asphalt, and in the long run chlorides. Studies have shown that road stabilization with our polymers is cheaper than maintaining roads with grading crews and constantly applying water.

Safety

Road stabilization is very much needed when considering safety. If the sub-base is not stabilized vehicles can malfunction and lose control. Applying our road stabilization polymer and stabilizing the road will increase the tire traction of the road and allow vehicles to traverse safely over higher speeds.

Time

Using our road stabilization polymers in the base of a road will save road-building crews time when compared to traditional methods of stabilization. With our polymers, one crew can easily treat a kilometer section of road per day.

Increased PSI

Our road stabilization polymers will increase the load-bearing PSI of treated soils. This is important when engineering a road. It’ll allow higher weights over the road. We have lab results where we have increased the CBR and UCS of treated soils by over 650%. If you have questions concerning the soil present at your location you can send it to our in-house lab and we can test it.

Haul Roads

Our road stabilization polymers have successfully treated many miles of haul roads. The heavyweights of the haul trucks did not present a problem.

Reduce Permeability of Soils

Our road stabilization polymers mitigate the swell potential of the soil, reducing the permeability of the treated roads and reducing water penetration. This will prevent the roads from turning into mud when wet. Our roads have survived many monsoons, freeze-thaw, and other weather conditions maintaining their grade while being safe to travel on.

Tires

Incorporating our road stabilization polymers into the base of your dirt/ gravel road will present a harder smoother driving surface. The road will be less susceptible to potholes, wash boarding, and ruts that can wear or damage tires. Vehicles that traverse over our stabilized roads will have less stress inflicted in general.
